Creating a Channel
Hyperclip channels represent YouTube channels you want to create content for. The channel creation wizard guides you through setup in 5 steps.
Step 1: Select a niche
Choose the content niche for your channel. You’ll see:
- Your custom niches — Niches you’ve created or saved
- Pre-built niches — Ready-to-use templates for popular content types
- Each niche card shows the estimated credit cost per video
You can also:
- Click Create Your Own to build a custom niche from scratch
- Click Explore More Niches to browse the public niche library
- Use the search bar to filter niches by name
If you already know which niche you want, you can skip this step by navigating directly with the ?niche= URL parameter.
Step 2: Name your channel
Enter a name for your YouTube channel. You can:
- Type a name manually
- Click AI Suggest to generate channel name ideas based on your selected niche
- Click Regenerate for more AI suggestions
Channel names are typically 1–3 words with a modern, creator-native tone.
Step 3: Profile picture
Your channel needs a profile picture. Options:
- AI Generate — Hyperclip creates a bold icon or mascot optimized for small sizes (reads well at 32px)
- Upload — Use your own image
- Skip — Add a profile picture later
AI-generated profile pictures use 2–3 colors with no text, designed to stand out as a YouTube avatar.
Step 4: Banner image
Create a channel banner:
- AI Generate — Produces a wide-angle panoramic image with dramatic lighting, optimized for YouTube’s 16:9 banner format
- Upload — Use your own banner image (recommended aspect ratio: 16:5)
- Skip — Add a banner later
Step 5: Connect YouTube
Optionally connect your YouTube account for direct video uploads:
- Click Connect YouTube to authorize via Google OAuth
- Or click Skip for Now to connect later
Done!
After completing the wizard, you’ll be redirected to your new channel’s video creation page. Your channel is ready to produce its first video.
