Creating a Project

A project in Hyperclip is a workspace for one content stream — a TikTok account, a YouTube Shorts channel, an Instagram Reels page, or just a client engagement you want to keep separate. Each project has its own flow (workflow), branding, run history, and (optionally) connected publishing destinations. The project creation wizard guides you through setup in 5 steps.

Step 1: Select a flow

Choose the flow for your project. A flow is the template that defines how your videos are made. You’ll see:
  • Your flows — Flows you’ve created or saved
  • Pre-built flows — Ready-to-use templates for popular short-form formats
  • Each flow card shows the estimated credit cost per video
You can also:
  • Click Create Your Own to build a custom flow from scratch
  • Click Explore More Flows to browse the public flow library
  • Use the search bar to filter flows by name
If you already know which flow you want, you can skip this step by navigating directly with the ?niche= URL parameter.

Step 2: Name your project

Enter a name for your project. You can:
  • Type a name manually
  • Click AI Suggest to generate name ideas based on your selected flow
  • Click Regenerate for more AI suggestions
Project names are typically 1–3 words with a modern, creator-native tone — works equally well as a TikTok handle, a Shorts channel name, or just an internal label.

Step 3: Profile picture

Your project needs a profile picture. Options:
  • AI Generate — Hyperclip creates a bold icon or mascot optimized for small sizes (reads well at 32px)
  • Upload — Use your own image
  • Skip — Add a profile picture later
AI-generated profile pictures use 2–3 colors with no text, designed to stand out as a creator avatar at any size.

Step 4: Banner image

Create a banner:
  • AI Generate — Produces a wide-angle panoramic image with dramatic lighting
  • Upload — Use your own banner image (recommended aspect ratio: 16:5)
  • Skip — Add a banner later

Step 5: Connect a publishing destination

Optionally connect a destination for direct publishing:
  • Connect TikTok — Publish straight to a TikTok account from the export step
  • Connect YouTube — Publish straight to a YouTube channel from the export step
  • Skip for Now — Connect later, or just download MP4s and post manually
You can connect both, switch them, or disconnect them at any time from project settings.

Done!

After completing the wizard, you’ll be redirected to your new project’s video creation page. Your project is ready to produce its first video.
