Collect (Merge)

The Collect node gathers results from all iterations of a Split loop back into a single artifact with array fields. It is the counterpart to the Split node.

When you need Collect

Use Collect after a Split when you want the downstream node to receive an array of all the per-iteration results. The standard clipping flow uses one:
This gives Approve & Export a Video[] so it renders one MP4 per clip with a ZIP download. Without Collect, only the last iteration’s video would reach the export node. A Split without a Collect still works: each iteration’s output is passed downstream individually (one MP4 per item, with no array bundling).

Handles

What gets collected

The Collect node merges per-item results into combined arrays — all clip trims, video URLs, image URLs, and text/prompt strings from all iterations are gathered together. Audio and caption data from the last iteration is carried forward.

Example flows

Standard clipping flow:
Per-clip generation (per-clip music, voiceover, etc.):

Cost

Free — Collect is a flow control node with no AI processing.

Handling failed items

If any iteration item fails during processing (e.g. due to a content policy violation), the Collect node will pause for review instead of auto-merging. You can:
  • Edit & retry — click the pencil icon on a failed item to edit its prompt, then retry generation.
  • Remove — click the trash icon to drop the failed item entirely.
  • Continue — proceed with only the successful items.
Successful items are never lost when one item fails.

Notes

  • Collect automatically appears after all iterations complete, showing a summary of collected items.
  • Click “Collect & Continue” to merge results and advance to the next node.
  • If no Collect node is placed after a Split, results are not merged into arrays.
  • If any items failed, Collect pauses for interactive review before merging.
